Met Gala 2024

Like every year on the first Monday in May, the most awaited fashion event takes place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York: since 1948, the Met Gala, conceived by Vogue magazine, has turned fashion into an art form, traditionally inaugurating the new season of the Costume Institute's fashion exhibition and gathering the most important celebrities of the moment, who attend by dressing in original ways based on the annual theme.

The theme of the 2024 Met Gala is "Sleeping Beauties – Reawakening Fashion". Let's see together what "the Oscars of fashion" had in store for us this year.

Olivier Rousteing in Balmain

The creative director of Balmain chose a top made of an innovative material like sand, transforming a simple garment into a timeless work of art. This unique design symbolizes the passage of time, with a sculptural interpretation of the designer's face. To keep your skin this smooth, maintain its hydration with our Hydrating Mask!

Lewis Hamilton in Burberry

Lewis Hamilton sported a Burberry look inspired by the story of John Ystumllyn, the first Black gardener in the United Kingdom. This outfit tells a story of social redemption through work, and a special detail of the jacket is its floral embellishment, while a poem by Wharton titled "The Gardener," inspired by Ystumllyn's life, was sewn into the inside. Completing the look are refined jewels and braids falling on Hamilton's head, adding a touch of style and taking the entire outfit to the next level.

Damiano David in Diesel

The frontman of Måneskin is always caught between celebrity and cursed rockstar, and perhaps that is exactly what makes him so fascinating. Among the most surprising looks, his stands out not only for the style, but also for the company: the singer was alongside the famous actress Dove Cameron. They certainly did not go unnoticed, both dressed by Diesel. She wore a bucolic dress with shades of pink, while he sported a transparent suit that showcased his tattoos, all completed by a mustache that gave him a vintage touch and hair slicked back. This year's looks did not disappoint, fully respecting the theme inspired by the short story "The Garden of Time" by J.G. Ballard. This gave Met Gala guests the chance to play with floral elements and literary inspirations, creating outfits that combine fashion and storytelling in a unique way. Between nature-inspired dresses and accessories reminiscent of literary elements, the looks were able to amaze and captivate.
