Movember: let’s grow a mustache and change the face of men’s health together!
For us at Barberino’s, November is not just a month, but a period to dedicate to awareness and solidarity. Have you ever heard of Movember? If the answer is no, keep reading: we’ll explain what it is and unveil eight types of mustaches for Movember!

Movember, what is it?
Movember is an annual event that takes place in November and is managed by the Movember Foundation, whose motto is “change the face of men's health”: the association is, in fact, dedicated to promoting events in support of the fight against prostate cancer and depressive disorders.
For this reason, during the month of November, the men who participate (Mo Bros) grow mustaches to raise funds and spread awareness about these conditions.
Let’s grow it!
The Barberino’s team already collaborated with the Movember Foundation last year on a charity event: they have decided to take the field once again to provide support and shed light on topics that, in our opinion, are still talked about too little!
With a social media campaign launched on November 1st, we invited all our barbers to shave and let their beard and mustache grow naturally, documenting the change.
We believe that change begins with small daily habits: starting to talk about a problem is the first step toward addressing and solving it!

Barberino’s x IOV
Barberino’s Padua is collaborating with the Veneto Institute of Oncology (IOV) for the month of November. In the shop, there are gadgets to take home, which customers can use to take post-shave selfies to post on social media: at the end of the month, the IOV will award the most beautiful and fun photo!

Natural
Features: This represents the most common style in the world; the mustache grows naturally while avoiding excessive growth (maximum 1.5 cm in length).

Dalí

After combing the mustache from the inside out, it must be set with a long-lasting wax; let it harden a little, then roll the tips between your thumb and index finger until they point toward the eyes.
Best for: It is suitable for oblong faces… but also for anyone who wants to be remembered!
Difficulty: High. Requires continuous styling.
Handlebar
Features: A full mustache curled upwards, named for its resemblance to a bicycle handlebar. After combing it from the inside out, work it with pomade: wait a few minutes for the wax to set, then roll the tip around your index finger to create a small circle.
Best for: It is suitable for long faces.
Difficulty: High. Suitable for those who already have experience and time to dedicate to styling!
Beardstache
Features: Having only recently become popular, it combines a full mustache with a short, well-defined beard no longer than 2-3 mm.
