Seasonal hair loss is a natural problem for many men, but don't despair: here are some tips to limit it
Hair loss in autumn and, to a slightly lesser extent, in spring is a phenomenon that affects both men and women, primarily due to the change in weather which accelerates hair shedding. Normally, a stable amount falls out every day, but during seasonal changes, the number can increase significantly.

Why does hair fall out in autumn and spring?
In the autumn and spring months, living organisms respond more markedly to changes in temperature; humans, who retain the ancestral manifestation typical of other mammals—namely molting—may begin to lose hair.
This is a physiological phenomenon that does not cause permanent baldness or eventual thinning, provided that a correct replacement cycle between falling hair and new hair maintains the balance. It is also important that the shedding does not persist for too long, turning into actual baldness.
Don't overlook the stress factor
In the periods between September-November and April-May, hormones, sensitive to daylight hours, activate a process that synchronizes the life cycle of the follicles, resulting in an increase in the number of hairs that fall out.
In addition to these factors, there is also psychological and physical stress. For example, at the end of summer, when returning to work after the holidays, stress can increase, which may contribute to causing an increase in hair loss.
Physical stresses to which hair is subjected in summer, with excessive exposure of the scalp to heat and sunlight, and swimming in the sea or pool, can also cause a weakening of the hair shaft.
What remedies to adopt to counteract hair loss
There are various natural remedies for hair loss in men, which can be used in the autumn and spring months to try to minimize the problem. For example, starting with diet: have breakfast with yogurt and a cup of tea (preferably green or nettle tea) and consume whole-grain risottos and pasta, legumes, eggs, and spinach.
A more targeted remedy is certainly provided by hair masks/packs, for example using coconut oil, which is rich in antioxidants and vitamins (especially vitamin E) and has emollient and nourishing properties: for this reason, it is a friend to our hair! Dilute the coconut oil with a few drops of water and apply it to the scalp and hair. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes and then shampoo.
Alternatively, you can turn to supplements for hair loss in men, such as vitamin A supplements (essential for skin health), vitamin C, B-group vitamins (Biotin above all, as it helps regulate the functioning of the sebaceous glands and in the synthesis of keratin), and vitamin E.
